Honey Chilli Potato

15 minutes for some sweet and spicy "oriental-inspired" french fries.

Ingredients

  1. French Fries - 200g
  2. Schezwan Sauce - 2 tablespoons
  3. Tomato Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  4. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tablespoon
  5. Soy Sauce - 1 teaspoon
  6. Honey - 1 tablespoon
  7. Ghee/Oil - 1 teaspoon
  8. Salt/Pepper Optional stuff:
  9. Sesame seeds (garnish)
  10. Spring onions (garnish)
  11. Hot sauce (for that extra zing)

Cooking

  1. Air fry the french fries until they are 15-20% overdone (the sauce will bring back the moisture don't worry)
  2. About 3-5 minutes before the fries are done, heat the ghee/oil on a pan.
  3. Put in ginger garlic paste and saute it until fragrant
  4. Reduce heat and Schezwan sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce and honey go in. Optionally add the hot sauce now.
  5. Mix them well an add lil salt and lil pepper (you can add more after tasting)
  6. Dump your fries, toss everything around until fries are properly coated.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning. Toss more if needed.
  8. Plate it and optionally garnish it.

Recommendations

The sauce can be used for multiple kinds of stuff, even as a dipping sauce.
Instead of fries, I have often used Chilli Garlic Potato Shots, Chicken Nuggets and Airfried Momos and never been let-down.
